Our Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Design (STEM-D) model is operated from our 100-person capacity centre in Kano. We offer Robotics, introducing youths particularly girls and their teachers to STEM principles with a focus on climate change and renewable energy applications.
We also offer Basic & Advanced Computer training (web technologies, web design), basic working Mathematics & English, Digital Photography, leatherworks and metalsmithing.
Our training methodology is interactive engaging participants in both theory and practical learning aspects. We employ an open dialogue style for feedback loop purposes.
There are three branches of our training model-
· Robotics school (6-16 years):
· Digital and Financial Literacy (women focused 18-60 years):
· Virtual digital and financial literacy courses (10-40 years)
At Kabara, our main objective is to help bridge the gap caused by the slow systematic change of the education structure against the fast paced and technology influenced global space.
Our platform provides much needed support with appendages of vital educational tools that will produce individuals who can participate and compete in the global workforce, educational and entrepreneurial fields.
Our experience in Northern Nigeria has reinforced our belief in the linkages between Entrepreneurship and Education. To effectively empower an individual, we must fill in the educational gaps needed to fully utilise the tools and means to sustainable entrepreneurship.
By providing a safe space for financial & vocational skills, IT learning & skills training, we are able to support intellectual growth and connect participants to the global frontier of opportunities that await.
We have trained over 1000 learners through vocational metal-smithing skills, financial and computer literacy.
Over the next 5 years our goal is to impact over 1 million learners both digitally and hands on learning across Northern Nigeria and be the premiere bridge platform for all opportunities that promote technical and digital skills acquisition within this region.
